There is a thin needle in the drain valve, which is moved a few millimeters by an electrical impulse. Moving the needle inside the drain valve controls the direction of oil flow. The oil flows from the tank into the cylinder or from the cylinder into the tank. It is also possible to control the release valve mechanically (emergency release).
