What type of 1 post lift are you looking for?

At Krömer you not only get a broad variety of models that can be at the drop of hat, but also the most stable and high-quality products. Are you looking for a 1 post lift for wheel alignment? No problem!Due to the wide range of our products even the most unique desires can be fulfilled. Krömer offers you 1 column lifts with a load capacity of up to 3.2 tons. The selection ranges from a wheelbase of 2.4 meters to over 3 meters. The platforms are therefore even suitable for lifting small vans.

What are the differences between them?

With our models on 1 post lifts, a distinction is made between mobile 1 post lifts and fixed 1 post lifts. In contrast to the mobile 1-post lifts, the fixed 1-post lifts have a more compact design, which is due to the small column base. These platforms are therefore particularly suitable for creating a free workplace in narrow garages, for work such as changing tires, replacing brake pads, working on the side skirts (smart repair), for wrapping vehicles, painting work or simply for changing the oil. The mobile 1-post lifts from Krömer are characterized by mobility and can therefore be used anywhere. They are relatively easy to assemble and can easily be moved around if necessary to save enough space.

Mobile 1 post lift

The 1 post lifts are usually mobile. They can therefore also be set up as a seasonal additional workplace outdoors, especially when the weather is nice. To raise vehicles, the 1 post lift is either pushed under the car or the vehicle is driven over the base frame of the platform.

Static 1-post lift

The 1 post lift 2.8 t "Danzig" SP51 is the only single post lift with anchors attached to the ground. A lifting height of up to 1.95 meters can be achieved with this stage. Vehicle-specific designs, such as the Mercedes GLS, Porsche Cayenne or Volkswagen T6, do not pose a challenge for this stage.

What are the advantages of a 1-post lift?

  • Vehicles are freely accessible from all sides
  • No drilling required in the workshop floor
  • Lifting height up to 200 cm
  • usually mobile
  • space-saving lifting technology
  • Favorable acquisition and follow-up costs
  • Low workshop floor requirements

The 1-post lift saves space and is ideal for small halls or garages in the city. Due to the design of the 1-post lift, sides and tires are freely accessible. This makes them popular lifting platforms for painting, bodywork and tire services. Among other things, the platform is particularly well suited for working on the brakes or for changing the oil. In comparison to the mobile scissor lifts, however, there is no restriction in the lifting height. Thanks to the lifting height of at least 185 cm, many jobs can also be carried out comfortably while standing. The mobile 1-post lift does not require any attachment to the floor and therefore no foundation work on the floor. Due to the mobility of the 1-post lift from Krömer, the platform is easy to move and can therefore be used for different workplaces and areas of application. If there is a large order backlog from the customer, e.g. conversion or relocation of the workshop, it is possible to transport and take the stage with you without much effort.

What are the disadvantages of a 1-post lift?

For a safe lifting of your vehicle with a single post lift, you should not only look at the lifting capacity of the lift when buying a lift, but also at the actual unladen weight of the single post lift. At Krömer, we recommend a minimum weight of 1,000 kg. As a result, greater stability can be guaranteed compared to comparable columns of 2- or 4-column lifts. Private customers in particular often subjectively do not feel comfortable under stages with a lower weight. This more complex construction of the 1-post lift is reflected in a higher price compared to the classic 2-post liftIn the case of 1-post lifts, the solid base frame must be driven over, since difficulties can arise when moving the main support arm (outrigger). To avoid such difficulties, the car should stand on rubber bumps. Such are offered in the accessories of the respective lifting platforms.

Comparison of all 1 post lifts

Here at Krömer, mobile and fixed single-post lifts are offered. At Krömer we currently offer the "Vienna" SP15 model as a firmly anchored 1-post lift. With the mobile 1 post lift, the selection with 10 models is far more complex. In the next section we would like to give a brief overview of this. In contrast to the platform that is firmly anchored in the floor, the mobile 1-post lifting platforms all have an integrated lifting truck, with which the platform can be easily moved from one workplace to another. In addition to the lift truck, 2 or 4 rollers are used in the base frame. A mobile single-post lift can therefore have a total of up to 6 rollers for moving. The more such roles a stage has, the easier it is to move. Mobile 1-post lifts are available in both semi-automatic and fully automatic versions. In the case of a semi-automatic, the platform must be unlocked for the descent. In such cases, the 1-post lift must first be raised a few cm by pressing the up button. An unlocking lever must then be permanently tightened. At the same time, the lever on the pump block of the platform must be pressed. The single-post lift will then go down with the car on it. With a fully automatic 1-post lift, on the other hand, these processes would run reliably and automatically. There are serious differences in the 1-post lifts in terms of load capacity and total weight. There are often discrepancies on the market here, since each manufacturer uses different testing agencies with different evaluation standards. For example, the Krömer former model "Krakau" SP25 in the 1-post lift sector did not receive its own CE approval. In order to still be able to offer our customers an inexpensive entry-level model, we buy this model with a net weight of 670 kg and a load capacity of 1.9 t - 2.5 t from other manufacturers. All other models offered are 100% "designed by Krömer" and start with a net weight of at least 820 kg up to 1,200 kg. The heavier the 1 post lift is, the more massive cars you can safely lift. When making a purchase decision, not only the load capacity should be considered, but also the technical circumstances and features. So, for example, if a family van of approximately 1,400 kg is to be lifted, the lift should weigh 1,000 kg. Because the support arms give less and the stage makes a more stable impression. If attention is paid to the technical features, even inexperienced users can approach a 1-post liftThe 1-post lift can be operated with an optional remote control, among other things. This insert is a particular advantage when the platform is to be operated from a safe distance from the opposite side.

Safety first

That's why we have a built-in CE stop in our 1-post lifts as standard. The platform is stopped with a beep when lowering and a foot trap protection is provided. If the platform reaches the maximum lifting height, a specially built-in cylinder automatically ends the lifting process. The hydraulic system is protected accordingly and guarantees long-term safety. All stage batches are regularly tested by our own employees. In addition, 1-post lifts are regularly checked in our technical center in Germany by the workshop manager and members of the management.

Our Kromer quality

The products of KHG Krömer Handelsgesellschaft mbH are consistently produced according to ISO 9001. Our processing is based on the CE certificate for APR approvals. Among other things, the lifting platforms are equipped with hard chrome-plated hydraulic cylinders, which is reflected in a lower susceptibility to errors and lower maintenance intensity. Each 1-post lift is also equipped with a so-called dead man's switch as standard. Should something no longer work, we always have the right spare part ready. Easily available from our online shop.

Installation and Assembly

The setup is easy because 80% of the components are already pre-assembled. Using the operating instructions and an assembly video, the lifting platforms can be set up very easily within 60 minutes.
