Description
The bleed connection for hydraulic cylinders is used on scissor lifts to release trapped air from the hydraulic system or the hydraulic cylinder.
When filling the hydraulic system, after maintenance work or after replacing a hydraulic cylinder, air may remain inside the system. A suitable hose can be connected to the fitting so that air and any escaping hydraulic oil can be discharged in a controlled manner.
Correct bleeding of the hydraulic cylinder is important because trapped air can cause unstable movement, jerky lifting behaviour or uneven movement of the lift.
The integrated push-in connection allows quick connection of the appropriate hose. The external thread is designed for direct installation on the designated connection of the hydraulic cylinder.
Function
The connection is primarily used for:
- bleeding the hydraulic cylinder
- releasing trapped air
- controlled discharge of hydraulic oil during the bleeding process
- connecting a bleed hose to the hydraulic cylinder
Note
The connection should only be used at the designated positions within the hydraulic system. Before replacement, it is recommended to check the thread size, hose diameter and compatibility with the respective hydraulic cylinder.
